Oldfield Primary School

A community of proud and resilient children who are learning to take their place in the world.

Mission Statement-Pride Through Achievement

We believe the sense of Pride and a feeling of Wellbeing are essential prerequisites to learning.

Our mission is to ensure that every child, irrespective of background, faith or ability, can take great pride in their hard-earned achievements here at school, as well as leaving with the key skills to access secondary school successfully. English and Maths are given priority, with the expectation that no learner is left behind.

Oldfield children are taught to be “connected” by having a sense of self and community. We ensure our curriculum embeds a strong knowledge of pupils’ locality, culture and how they can make the most of opportunities available in the diverse city of London.

With these solid building blocks in place, learners can make connections with the wider world more successfully.

We also teach children to set themselves the highest standards, have confidence in their abilities and to know when they need resilience to meet a challenge. Through these high expectations, Oldfield children are “Ready to take their place in the world.”

Parents/ Carers and Staff recognise that Oldfield has an excellent pastoral education. This is due to the positive relationships between adults and children and the focus on everyone being kind, friendly and safe. Our English scheme of work uses high quality books as a stimulus that offers opportunities for empathy and philosophical enquiry and exploration of current issues.

Children are happy at Oldfield, and this makes them successful academically.

If you are thinking of sending your child to Oldfield and would like a tour by myself or the Deputy, then please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
